Reception Admissions
Published Admission Number (PAN)
Merstham Primary School has an admission number of 30 for entry in Reception. The school will accordingly admit this number of pupils each year if there are sufficient applications. Where fewer applicants than the PAN are received, Merstham Primary School will offer places at the school to all those who have applied.
The quickest and easiest way to apply for a school place is online. Please visit: surreycc.gov.uk/admissions
Late Applications
If you submit your application without a good reason after the deadline, your application will be treated as late. This may affect the possibility of your child being offered a place at one of your preferred schools. Please click here if you are likely to be unable to make an on-time application.
Oversubscription criteria
School places will be offered to children at Merstham Primary School using the criteria laid out in our Admissions Policy below.
Waiting Lists
If you have made an application for Reception - Year 6, you will need to contact Surrey Admissions directly for information on where your child is on the waiting list or if there are spaces in the year that you have applied for. Merstham Primary School does not hold this information.
Your Child’s Position on the Waiting List
Your child's position on a waiting list can go down as well as up. This will occur if other children are added to the list because they have greater priority against the school's admission criteria.
In year admissions should be directed through Surrey County Council, Apply for an in year school place - Surrey County Council (surreycc.gov.uk) .
