Christmas Events at Merstham Primary
It is our intention to go ahead with the schedule of events we have planned over the festive period, however, we are aware of the duty of care we have to our whole community and will be putting extra safety measures in place as described below. It is also important to note that the scheduled events may be subject to change or cancellation at any time depending on the number of Covid cases in our school and any amendments to government and local guidance. We will communicate any such changes or cancellations with as much notice as possible.
Christmas Fair - Saturday 4th December
The PTA is pleased to confirm the fair will go ahead outdoors and with enough space to implement a one-way system and social distancing. In order to help protect the school community, please ensure you wear a face mask and we would be grateful if anyone coming considers taking a lateral flow test prior to attending.

The Legend of King Arthur (theatre production) - Tuesday 7th December
The theatre company will now perform twice in school to reduce the number of children gathering and allow them to be safely spaced in hall.
Nursery Christmas Singalong – Wednesday 8th December
This will no longer be a ‘live’ event. We are making plans to record* this event so it can be shared with parents and carers. More details to follow.
Carol Singing in the Playground - Thursday 9th December This will no longer be a ‘live’ event. We are making plans to record* this event so it can be shared with parents and carers. More details to follow.
KS1 and Reception Nativity – 10th/ 11th/ 12th December
This will no longer be a ‘live’ event. We are making plans to record* this event so it can be shared with parents and carers. More details to follow.
KS2 Christmas Party - Monday 13th December
This event will now take place during the day in the children’s classrooms.
Y6 Visit to Harry Potter World - Tuesday 14th December
This event will now be postponed until the summer term.
EYFS and KS1 Christmas Party – Wednesday 15th December
This event will take place in separate year group classrooms.
